Raised between China and both coasts of the US, T. Shan is a singer/rapper/songwriter who brings his restless origins to his music by blending increasingly wide genre influences, all threaded through with his biting, confessional lyrics. With over 3.5 million streams and features in Wonderland Magazine and 88Rising Radio, he’s building an audience as eclectic as his catalog. NYC is his base, but never the whole story.
On his latest EP Flowers & Spice, T. Shan sought to explore new sonic terrain, from indie rock ballads to house rap dance tracks, while telling a love story from its blossoming to its post-mortem. Intimate and hectic, saccharine yet bitter, the record braids together reflections of diving headfirst into love while hesitant from the aches of past scars, numbing yourself amidst strobe lights and D&B, and coming to peace with the good and bad of a bygone affection.
